Horse Park Drive stage 2 duplication - Anthony Rolfe Avenue to Mulligans Flat Road

The Stage 2 duplication of Horse Park Drive is underway between Anthony Rolfe Avenue and Mulligans Flat Road. This upgrade follows the Stage 1 works completed between Well Station Drive and Anthony Rolfe Avenue.

The upgrade will duplicate an additional four kilometres of the road and will install new traffic lights at the intersections with Francis Forde Boulevard, Katherine Avenue south and Mulligans Flat Road.  It will increase traffic capacity and reduce congestion levels experienced during the morning and afternoon peak periods.

Construction is also expected to commence in the second half of 2017 to duplicate the road between the Federal Highway and Well Station Drive. This section of work will include a two metre on-road cycle way and a three metre wide shared path between the Federal Highway and Gundaroo Drive.

The ACT Government committed $57 million to Stage 2 duplication of Horse Park Drive as part of the 2016-17 ACT Budget.

Construction is expected to be completed in mid 2019.
