The Majura Parkway is an 11.5 kilometre dual carriageway road that will provide a safer and more convenient link between the Federal Highway and Monaro Highway.
Jointly funded by the Australian and ACT governments, the Parkway is a $288 million investment in our regional transport network and is the single largest road infrastructure investment ever made in the ACT.
Construction activities will focus on the following locations during October:
Majura Parkway – construction of the southern end of the project has progressed, including works to the south of the Molonglo River bridge connecting the Monaro Highway to the Majura Parkway. Landscaping works on the main section of road continues.
Molonglo River bridge – the southbound segments of the Molonglo River bridge are progressing as planned. Works to connect the Molonglo River bridge with Fairbairn Avenue are nearing completion.
Fairbairn Avenue bridge – finishing works are progressing and nearing completion.
Morshead Drive and Pialligo Avenue – Morshead Drive road widening is progressing, with works on the western side of the roundabout continuing.
While every effort is made to carry out work outside peak periods to minimise the impact on traffic, motorists may experience some minor delays.
We thank road users for their patience while this vital work takes place.
