Car park improvements

The ACT Government has upgraded the Yarralumla Dog Park and Pescott Lane car parks. The upgrades included resurfacing works to seal the surfaces of the two car parks to manage the erosion and the dust caused by existing dirt and gravel surfaces, improving the capacity of both car parks.

Upgrades at Yarralumla Dog Park car park included:

  • existing car park will remain with adjustments made to the northern boundary
  • surface of car park will be asphalted
  • provision of 56 line marked parking spaces including two accessible parking spaces
  • additional trees and landscaping.

To minimise disruptions to dog park visitors, during construction a temporary car park has been created to the south of the current one. Following construction, the bollards and grass in this area will be reinstated.

Upgrades at the Pescott Lane car park included:

  • existing car park will remain with adjustments made to the layout to maximise the space, manage drainage and improve path connections
  • surface of car park will be asphalted
  • provision of 122 line marked parking spaces including four accessible parking spaces
  • additional trees and landscaping including shade trees in centre aisles.
