Plastic Free July

Join the challenge and choose to refuse single-use plastic during Plastic Free July.

Plastic Free July is a global yearly challenge encouraging people to give up single-use plastic during the month of July.

This year the ACT government is calling on the community to get involved and reduce our single-use plastic habits. By taking part, you’ll be joining over 2 million people from 150 countries in making a difference.

The great thing about Plastic Free July is that you can choose a challenge that works for you.

Host a plastic free morning tea, attend a plastic free living workshop or choose to refuse plastic shopping bags, straws and takeaway containers.

Take the pledge by signing up to Plastic Free July at www.plasticfreejuly.org.

The ACT Government’s is committed to moving forward on single-use plastic products in the ACT, taking real action to become Australia’s most sustainable city. The community is invited to respond to our Phasing out single-use plastics discussion paper.
