Notice of blasting work at Mugga Lane Resource Centre

Dale and Hitchcock Civil Engineering and Landscape are contracted to construct a new landfill cell at the Mugga Lane Resource Management Centre. The new cell is expected to be operational by 2021.

During the construction the top of the landfill site will be undergoing intermittent blasting of hard rock over a three-month period, starting mid-July 2019. There may be some ground vibrations and low levels of noise associated with the blasts.

The blasting will be carried out each week at a set time. This is currently designated as 1:15pm every Thursday, with the blasting works lasting no longer than five minutes each time.

Surrounding businesses such as The Green Shed and Mugga Lane Resource Management Centre remain open for business and will not be affected by the scheduled operational blasting.
