Canberra has 2 resource management centres where ACT residents can recycle and dispose of items that don't belong in household wheelie bins. For advice on the best way to recycle or dispose of specific items search our Recyclopaedia.
Locations and opening hours
Please note:
- Both locations open: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, 7 days a week. Closed on Good Friday and Christmas Day.
- Disposal fees can be paid by EFTPOS only. Cash payments are not accepted.
- The weighbridge and transfer station's IT system use licence plate recognition cameras to capture vehicle registration. Load capture cameras are also in operation and capture waste load data.
- Only registered vehicles are permitted to drop off materials via resource management centre weighbridges. Bicycles, e-scooters and pedestrians are not permitted to pass over weighbridges.
