What if I notice an area that should be off-leash based on the new requirements?

The ACT is made up of over 130 different suburbs and districts and is a city known for having plenty of beautiful open space, including parks, lakes, path networks and sportsgrounds. The changes to dog exercise areas and off-leash zoning results in a high number of changes to each suburb and the ACT Government welcomes feedback on these changes to ensure all areas are appropriately zoned.

In the first few months following the changes feedback from the community will be gathered and minor adjustments will be made to ACTmapi to ensure the mapping is clear, consistent and fair, including the potential for additional dog swimming areas to be identified.

If you would like to provide feedback on the dog exercise area changes, please email TCCS at communityengagement@act.gov.au or call Access Canberra on 13 22 81.

The ACT Government is committed to improving the accessibility of web content. To provide feedback or request an accessible version of a document please contact us or phone 13 22 81.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the ACT, the Ngunnawal people. We acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region.
