Legislation

Veterinary Surgeons in the ACT must work in accordance with the relevant ACT legislation. This legislation is currently the Veterinary Surgeons Act 2015. The Veterinary Practice Act 2018 will commence on 21 December 2018. Changes under the new legislation can be viewed on the Introduction of the Veterinary Practice Act 2018 page.

Veterinary Surgeons working in the ACT should make themselves familiar, in particular, with the professional standards contained in the Standards Statements.
