Shopping Centres

Transport Canberra and City Services (TCCS) looks after the upgrade of public space in local shopping centres. The upgrade work aims to encourage the use and enjoyment of public places by all members of the community, including people with a disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, older people, indigenous people, young people and families.

Shopping centre upgrades may include new or improved lighting, pathways, playground equipment, car parking, integrated community artwork, traffic arrangements and signage.

As part of the upgrade consultation process, members of the local community are encouraged to provide input on the early concept plans to ensure the upgrades address their priority needs and reflect the suburb's identity. For information about community engagement opportunities please visit the Your Say website.
